تحليل الفيريتين  Ferritin
 فحص مخزون الحديد

الحديد من معادن المهمة بالجسم الذي يحتاجه لتصنيع هيموجلوبين بخلايا الدم الحمراء المسؤول عن نقل الأكسجين إلى كافة خلايا الجسم، ويتم تخزين الحديد في الجسم على شكل الفيريتين (Ferritin)، وهو بروتين من محتويات الدم يحتوي على عنصر الحديد، يوجد التركيز الأكبر منه داخل خلايا الجسم ، وخصوصاً خلايا الكبد، وخلايا الجهاز المناعي، ويدخل الى محتويات الدم بنسب قليلة ، يقيس التحليل كمية بروتين الفيريتين (Ferritin) في عينة الدم، الذي يعطي دلالة على مخزون الحديد في الجسم،  ويساعد التحليل الطبيب على فهم كمية الحديد التي يخزِّنها جسم المريض.
